Natural environments place constant challenges on the animals they live in: getting food, avoiding predators, finding a partner and giving birth to a descendant.
Among the animals, few have developed more surprising and unusual survival strategies for many reptiles and amphibians, insects, arachnids and other small invertebrates that we barely notice. Among these are countless predators that need to be guaranteed a meal, capturing by force or deception prey that will put in the field any defence to survive. The result of this process is a “weapon race”, surprising by shapes and modes, which does not match in high-end animals.
The book is not just a collection of beautiful images, but a collection of “photographic stories”, with texts that highlight the latest discoveries and the most interesting aspects of the biology of the protagonists.

Finalmente un titolo diverso, che mette in risalto le piccole e troppo spesso trascurate creature di un mondo riservato solo a chi ha la pazienza di vedere ed ascoltare. Un sentito grazie ad autori ed editore.
