From sea level up to more than 3,000 metres, the life of the Iberian ibex throughout the seasons, across coastal cliffs, mountains and deserts. A quest for unique experiences and moments, in the light of Andalusia.
The book shows the results of a fieldwork lasting three years, carried out exclusively within the province of Granada. The ibex, the most emblematic ungulate of the Iberian peninsula, as a “key” to discover the biodiversity of the Sierra Nevada National Park, the Guadix depression, and the Mediterranean coast.
From the foreword: “To be photographed these species force you to get up very early and stay up until late; they make you sweat and pant; they lead you onto dangerous terrain or straight into a storm. But the long path that takes you to meet these animals is always full of excitement and satisfaction; it is blessed by the purest light and is the closest thing to transcendence I have ever experienced in my life.”
