Enchanted Meadows

The Palù del Quartier del Piave were established by people, but their most characteristic sites are essentially “green lungs”: areas where nature – albeit without the wild traits typical of protected areas or reserves – have been able to adapt but also express themselves in a unique and beautiful way.

Closed fields, hedges, streams, ditches and bodies of water, more or less permanent, alternate with permanent meadows, vineyards and fields – some of which

undergo intensive farming – to provide a rare example of coexistence between human needs and natural biodiversity.
